The UK Government has announced that it will call on people over 70 to self-isolate for four months in the coming weeks. The majority of the users of our Elderly Lunch Club, Table Tennis Club, Karaoke, Mah-Jong and Card games are elderly people over the age of 70.
Therefore, our Centre has decided to temporary suspend all group activities to reduce the risk of infection with COVID-19. Our Health Advocacy Services and Advisory Services will only be operated by telephone with immediate effect. The above measures will be implemented until the end of April, they will be reviewed in the light of the Government’s guidelines.
The Annual General Meeting of our Association, which was scheduled for 25th March 2020, will be postponed until further notice.
During this period, we ask all our members to contact their families and neighbours more regularly and increase the number of contacts amongst members. The staff of this Centre will also make hospitality telephone calls to members.
Members are reminded to wash their hands more often and pay attention to personal hygiene.

中心暫停活動通告
鑑於政府宣佈未來數週內將呼籲七十歲以上人仕自我隔離四個
月，本會的長者午餐會、乒乓球會、卡拉OK、麻雀及啤牌等
活動的用家大多是七十歲以上的長者。為此，本會即日起宣佈
暫停所有群體活動，以減低受新冠肺炎感染的機會。本會的保
健翻譯服務，和諮詢服務即日起只提供電話服務。以上措施會
實行到四月底，到時參照政府指引再作檢討。
現宣佈本會原定三月二十五曰的週年大會，將延遲直到另行通
知。
在這段沒有活動的時間，我們呼籲所有會員多與家人和鄰居聯
絡溝通，以及增加會員間相互電話交流問安。本會職員亦會向
各會員做電話慰問。
在此再提醒各會員要多洗手和注重個人衛生。
