Hackney Chinese Community Services shares the grief of the people of Great Britain at the death of the Queen. Whilst we recognise that the Empire has not been an equal relationship, over the long years of the Queen’s reign she has done much to support people in East and South East Asia, especially parts of the Empire such as Hong Kong and Malaysia and those diasporic communities in Britain. We will mourn her passing.
