Job Purpose
The Incomes Inclusion Manager will lead and oversee the strategic direction of the “Together We Rise” initiative. Acting as both a line manager and advocate, this individual will ensure the program achieves its objectives, with high-quality service delivery and impactful partnerships. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement to build financial resilience and inclusion for ESEA women of 65+.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the design and implementation of the project, aligning activities with its mission to empower ESEA women of 65+.
- Monitor performance metrics and produce comprehensive reports for funders and stakeholders.
- Identify funding opportunities to sustain and expand the initiative.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor the Incomes Inclusion Officer, ensuring consistent service quality.
- Coordinate team training sessions to enhance staff expertise in welfare and benefits.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary representative of the project in external collaborations.
- Foster relationships with local authorities, welfare agencies, and community organisations.
- Organise cross-agency meetings to share insights and best practices.
Community Impact:
- Oversee the production of culturally and linguistically relevant resources.
- Develop innovative outreach strategies to engage underserved populations.
- Ensure the program remains adaptive to the evolving needs of ESEA women of 65+.
Desired Outcomes:
- A measurable increase in ESEA women of age 65+’s access to financial support and welfare services.
- Strengthened partnerships and resource-sharing between agencies serving minority groups.
- Long-term sustainability of the program through demonstrable success and stakeholder support.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong leadership and management experience, ideally in a nonprofit or community-focused role.
- Deep understanding of the welfare system, benefits entitlements, and challenges faced by racially minoritised women.
- Exceptional organisational and reporting skills, with experience managing budgets and tracking KPIs.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in an ESEA language (preferred).
- Proven ability to develop and nurture partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
Income Inclusion Officer

Salary: £32,000 per annum pro rata £19,200 for 60% FTE

Overview:
The Incomes Inclusion Officer is a key operational role aimed at addressing financial hardship among East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) women, particularly those nearing or of pension age. The role involves delivering tailored welfare advice, increasing community awareness about entitlements, and empowering individuals through practical and emotional support. The Officer will work closely with individuals, families, and partner organizations to create meaningful, long-term change for this underrepresented community.
Responsibilities:
1. Casework and Direct Support:
• Provide one-to-one support on welfare benefits, pensions, and housing applications tailored to the specific needs of ESEA women.
• Act as an advocate for clients in appeals or disputes with statutory bodies, ensuring maximum income support.
• Offer personalised assistance to resolve errors, delays, or challenges in accessing benefits.
Assisting clients with the necessary tools to upskill and inform their access to welfare and benefits.
2. Workshops and Awareness Building:
• Deliver group workshops and webinars (3 annually), educating participants on financial entitlements and welfare systems.
• Produce and translate accessible materials in ESEA languages on benefits such as the New State Pension, Pension Credit, and Attendance Allowance. (Commission translators to assist with key ESEA language translations)
• Support Line Manager in Designing outreach strategies to reach vulnerable women who may not traditionally access welfare advice. Take lead on outreach initiatives to raise awareness of this advice and support programme.
3. Partnership Collaboration:
• Establish and maintain partnerships with welfare agencies, local councils, and community organizations to expand support networks.
• Develop referral pathways for specialised support, including sign-posting to adjacent support services such as: Citizens Advice, Wellbeing & Mental health services, legal advice etc.
4. Monitoring and Impact Reporting:
• Maintain accurate casework records using case management software, ensuring all client interactions and outcomes are logged.
• Contribute to regular project performance reviews by collecting feedback and data to improve services.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in welfare rights advice, housing support, or financial capability training.
• Understanding of the systemic challenges faced by minority women, particularly ESEA communities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in at least one ESEA language (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills, especially in supporting vulnerable individuals.
